Naritasan park

A waterfall with a 20-meter drop located in Naritasan park which is 7 to 8 minutes' walk from Naritasan Shinshoji Temlke. This waterfall locates in the area with many woods and has awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Garden of former place of Ofudo-sama

Entering "Nagomino komeya souhonten" and passing through the store, you will find Garden of former place of Ofudo-sama. In this garden, there is "Fudo no oido (well)" which has been venerated as healing water for over 400 years. The original well was buried and the current well is gushing from the same water vein as the original well and locates in the entrance of the garden.

Katori Jingu

An old shrine said to be found in 643 BC. "Kanameishi", which is said to be suppressing earthquakes, and a huge tree near a main hall have sacred atmosphere.

Saruda Shrine

The building of shrine was founded in 807 and you can feel long history of the shrine. This shrine is a place for Osunatori (collecting sands) and sacred to Sarutahiko-no-kami and other gods. Also known as a spiritual place.

Kawaguchi Shrine

An old shrine founded in 986 that is the guardian god of fishing boats going in and out of the estuary of the Tone River.

Inubosaki lighthouse is the first western-style lighthouse in Japan and was selected as the IALA list of 100 lighthouses as historic and architectural monuments. You can enjoy exquisite view from the lighthouse.

Easternmost spring in Kanto Plain which has been popular lately as Omizutori (water drawing) place.

Tokai Shrine

Old shrine founded in 709. It is said that this shrine was originally founded around Togawa and moved to the current place in 979. The forest around the shrine is a climax forest which is unspoiled and designated as a natural monument of Chiba prefecture.

Byoubugaura

A coastal line of 10 km with precipitous cliffs as if "byōbu", the Japanese-style folding screen, stands. Byobugaura is also called "Dover of the East" and has been used for various TV programs. Choshi marina and the observatory hill of the roundness of the Earth have a good view of Byobugaura.

Choshi marina

A yacht harbor that can accommodate about 1000 ships. There is a swimming beach just adjacent to this marina. In winter, the sunset going down the sea is exquisite. Best spot for seeing Byoubugaura.

Inuiwa

A dog-shaped rock having Yoshitsune legend. It is said that the dog, who was left alone when Yoshitsune ran away by a boat escaping from Yoritomo, kept baring for 7 days to become rock. It is also said that the barks of the dog were heard at Inubosaki.
