Matsuba-ya
A long-established shop of dried bonito. Matsuba-ya ships dried bonito to various shops such as Soba restaurant. Generally, bonitos are shaved after dried and steamed. In contrast, Matsuba-ya uses traditional production process in which bonitos are dried and grilled, and then roughly shaved like wood chips. You can experience making dried bonito (1,500 yen).Staying time

Kazashi Shrine
A small shrine is placed in the shadow of stone cliff. Dedicated to the shrine is an ornamental hairpin of the daughter of Shigetada Hatakeyama. Shigetada Hatakeyama was a great general remarkable for both wisdom and courage and served to Yoritomo Minamoto playing important role for establishing Kamakura Bakufu. However, after Yoritomo died, Shigetada was executed with his clan on a charge of treason.In this shrine, there are a ruin in the shadow of stone, a pair of guardian dogs curved by Sekio Takeda (one of the best three craftsmen in Awa area), and hokyoin-to pagoda of the medieval period.
