Kotaniyama Zenryu-ji Temple
Jodo Shinshu Hongan-ji school temple. This temple possesses "Shokoku Kaisen Dkisinin Kako-cho", the record of people dead by shipwreck in Kominato-ura coastal zone during about 200 years from Edo Period through 1873. This records show that fishermen of Kansai area came to Kominato area and that Kominato was a town of ocean transportation, specifically the harbor of refuge for eastward sea route.Staying time

Daihonzan Tanjoh-ji Temple
Nichiren sect Daihonzan Kominato Tanjoh-ji was founded in October 1276 by Nike Jonin, follower of Holy Priest Nichiren, commemorating the birthplace of Holy Priest Nichiren. After suffering natural disasters twice, the temple was moved to the current place. The tiled roof of Soshi-do hall has a size of 21 tatami mats which is the world-biggest. This temple having the scent of incense and sea breeze is selected as "the 100 best scented sceneries" approved by the Ministry of the Environment.Staying time

Tai no Ura promenade
You can see the beautiful scenery of Sho-benten and Dai-benten. There is a monument commemorating Gyokokei (which means the Emperor and the Empress going out together) of the Showa Emperor and the Empress in 1973.
