Shirahama and hiking of Hanayome Kaido (wedding road) in whaling town

Course for enjoying Nojimasaki lighthouse located Southernmost of Boso peninsula, Shiroyama (144 m) hiking which is comparatively easy to try, and fresh seafood cuisine. On the second day, you can enjoy hiking of Hanayome Kaido (wedding road) of the town famous for whale fishing and eating whale cuisine.

Submarine landslide fault

You can see a change in submarine stratum occurred in a massive earthquake 200 years ago. You will find the landslide fault along Awa Green Line just after go through Awa Shirahama tunnel from Shirahama side.

Nojimasaki lighthouse

Southernmost lighthouse in Boso. From a bench near the lighthouse, you can see both the sunset and sunrise. This area is designated as Minami-Boso Quasi-National Park, and has a promenade which is desirable for strolling. Parking lot is available for free. Open from 8:30 to 16:00 (closed on Tuesday)

Shirahama Kaiyo Museum

■See　

Maiwais exhibited in this museum are Tomesode (a married woman's formal kimono) of Boso sent from shipowner to boatman only in a year having a large catch. Maiwais have beautiful painting spreading at the bottom. This museum has outstanding collection of the Maiwai and also called as Maiwai museum.
Open from 9:00 to 17:00 (closed on Thursday)

Shiroyama (144 m) hiking

Shiroyama is an ancient foundation of Shirahama castle, Awa Satomi clan's main castle in their early period. In addition to the castle, you can also enjoy seeing scenery and lighthouse from an observatory.

Wada Hanayome Kaido (wedding road) hiking

"Hanayome Kaido (wedding road)" is named after the tale that in the past, brides (Hanayome) from villages in the mountains walked this road to get married to bridegrooms in seaside villages.
Slopes in this hiking course are gentle as a whole. From January to March, you can enjoy seeing flower gardens and picking flowers.

The Miyosi-mura Hina-no-sato sells milk produced in Miyosi-mura, handmade dairy products, and fresh vegetables. Also offered is a guide for various types of fruit picking such as tangerine picking and fun events. You can take foot bath for free and enjoy soft ice cream.
